Multi-award winning Twyla Tharp is known in the world of dance as a visionary and innovative choreographer, now she returns with a new program that displays her hallmarks of humour, generous spirit and zeal, tied together with immaculate techniques and decades of experience from this pure iconoclast.

From movies to television, Broadway and so much more, Tharp has made an indelible mark on dance in both the 20th and 21st centuries. Her 1973 piece Deuce Coupe set to the music of The Beach Boys, is still considered the first crossover ballet and continues to draw audiences the world over. She still works on with pop music, and has created ballets to the music of Frank Sinatra, David Byrne, Bob Dylan and more.

Ocean's Motion 

Step back in time to the carefree days of teenage rebellion with Ocean's Motion. Set to the iconic tunes of rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry, this exhilarating piece captures the essence of youth with daring moves and high-voltage performances. Watch as dancers Miriam Gittens, Daisy Jacobson, Skye Mattox, Reed Tankersley, and Jake Tribus ignite the stage with Tharp's signature fusion of ballet and jazz dance.

Brel (2024) 

Prepare to be mesmerized by "Brel," a captivating solo paying homage to the legendary Belgian songwriter Jacques Brel. Daniel Ulbricht, of the renowned New York City Ballet, takes center stage in a display of wit, musicality, and stunning athleticism that will leave you spellbound.

The Ballet Master (2024) 

Experience the exhilarating fusion of technical precision and joyful ease in "The Ballet Master." Set to the mesmerizing minimalist music of Simeon ten Holt and the timeless Baroque scores of Antonio Vivaldi, this new work showcases the talents of Miriam Gittens, Daisy Jacobson, Skye Mattox, John Selya, Reed Tankersley, Jake Tribus, and Daniel Ulbricht in a performance that is as unpredictable as it is dynamic.
