Eureka Day at Eisenhower Theater

Why see Eureka Day?

Eureka Day in washington: A Must-See Satirical Comedy

Idealism meets the harsh realities of public health!

A gripping satire, Eureka Day shines a light on the challenges of contemporary parenting, public health, and the frequently chaotic junction of individual convictions and civic duty.  Audiences at the

Eisenhower Theater will be thrilled by Jonathan Spector's critically praised, timely and relevant play.

Following its triumphant run at London's Old Vic, where it garnered critical acclaim for its incisive wit and topical relevance, Eureka Day has been hailed as "a cutting-edge comedy that dissects contemporary dilemmas with humour and heart." and is directed by Anna D. Shapiro!

What Is The Story?

Eureka Day is a prestigious, progressive elementary school nestled in the idyllic surroundings of Berkeley, California. It's a haven of inclusivity, where every opinion is valued. But when a sudden outbreak of mumps sends shockwaves through the community, the school's idyllic veneer is shattered. The Board of Directors, who have always prided themselves on a policy of consensus and mutual respect, are thrust into a storm of conflicting viewpoints and rising tensions.

As the number of mumps cases climbs, the school faces a critical dilemma: stick to their liberal stance on vaccination, or impose mandates that could divide the community.
